DIRECTOR :-

Shri R.R. Verma, IPS has taken over as Director, NEPA w.e.f. 11/02/2009.

JT. DIRECTOR : Shri Anil Kumar came on deputation from CRPF. He joined as the Jt. Director w.e.f. 1/12/2009.

Dy. Director (Adjt) : Shri G.C. Pramanik came on deputation from B.S.F. He joined as Dy. Director (Adjutant) w.e.f. 14/1/2010.

STAFF :-

The post of Dy. Director (Indoor) and one post of Asstt. Director (Law) are still lying vacant for want of suitable candidates on deputation. The above vacant post has been circulated to all CPOs and State Police and written for publication in the Employment News.  

Some vacant posts of SI and Head Constable, to be filled on deputation, have been circulated to all the CPOs and States. Although some posts of Head Constables are filled up, still there are some vacant post of S.I. and Head Constable to be filled up on deputation.  

The post of Assistant Director (Sc Aids) was filled up w.e.f. 28/01/06 on deputation by an officer of NICFS, Delhi but the officer has repatriated to his parent department and was released from this Academy on 17th December, 2007 and hence the post is now lying vacant. The post was advertised through Employment News but till date the response is nil.

Due to the sudden demise of one officer who was on deputation and 2 (two) officers who repatriated to their parent department in the month of January, 2008 all the three post of DAD (Police Science) are lying vacant. The matter is under process to fill up the posts on deputation.

1 post of Inspector (Wireless), 1 post of Sub Inspector and 4 posts of Head Constable are lying vacant. Letters have been sent to CPOs to sponsor names of personnel for deputation which is under process.

There are 3 posts of Lower Division Clerk and 1 Stenographer - III which are lying vacant. The posts are to be filled up through Staff Selection Commission which is under process. Out of the 3 posts of L.D.C. one has been filled up and the post of stenographer Grade III was also filled up through S.S.C.

CONSTRUCTION :-

The following are the on going works which are being carried out by   CPWD and is expected to be completed soon.

  Ø      Open Firing Range                                       (Rs. 31,28,526/-)

Ø      Indoor Firing Range                                       (Rs. 64,14,594/-)

Ø      Extension of Officers’ Mess (10 Rooms)                  (Rs. 41,74,900/-)

Ø      Suite for Sr. Officers (4 Nos.)                                 (Rs. 24,29,800/-)

The Academy is also trying to construct the following infrastructure for the benefit of the trainees attending various courses and the staff as well. Preliminary Estimate from CPWD was received and Administrative Approval and Expenditure Sanction which is still awaited.

Ø      Swimming Pool, and

Ø      Shopping Complex

GENERAL :-

Ø            A dedicated Internet network through VSAT has been established making accessible to trainees in the respective Messes.

Ø                   The NEC has accorded approval for free boarding and lodging to the trainees of in-service courses vide letter No. NEC/NEPA/25/2003 dated 8/July/2004
